Read all about my first 25 hour flight experience to Brisbane Australia!! Also, see some fun shots of the plane adventure... got all window seats!!

For a girl that has only flown twice, once when I was an actual baby so naturally I do not remember it and another when I was 16 and got sick, I was pretty nervous, especially, to be by myself navigating three separate flights for a total of 25 hours air time. The first flight was the hardest, even though it was the shortest, but it was due to the fact it was my first time alone on a flight and also because I was saying goodbye to family, friends, and home. Nonetheless, walking into Norfolk International with tears steaming down my face I made eye contact with an employee at the checkin desk. They gladly directed me on where to go and told me the steps I needed to take to get through security and arrive at my gate. In total, it took about 10 minutes for me to get to my gate, which seemingly enough was much easier than I had thought. I then waited two hours to get on my flight, which I sat next to a woman that had no interest in talking by the fact she immediately fell asleep when she sat down. Nonetheless, the one and a half hour flight went smooth, smoother than I had anticipated and for an added bonus, I did not get sick!

Arriving in Atlanta, I immediately went to the restroom and began walking to my gate. After walking for 10 minutes and taking the train to the other side of the airport, I found that I had left my phone in the restroom. I booked it back to the restroom to find my phone gone. At that moment a custodian woman walked in and I asked if she had seen a phone or if anyone had turned a phone in. She replied saying that she had not seen anything and that there is no lost and found, that people are supposed to report lost items to the nearest gate the item was left. She then left to ask the nearest gate about my phone. What felt like an eternity, she walks, my phone in had, toward me and ask if that was my phone. I gave her the biggest hug, which then led to her bracelet getting caught in my hair. Nonetheless, I then embarked on the journey back to my gate, where I, again, waited two hours till my four flight.

Landing in LAX, I was tired and ready to be in Brisbane. Nonetheless, I had to, again, wait two hours till my flight. During that time I got my visa in check, called home to update family on my plane experiences, and prepared myself for the ever-waiting 14 hour flight ahead of me. Boarding the plane took longer than I had anticipated, but I eventually made it on the plane after 45 minutes. I quickly played the movie "Up" and fell asleep. Waking up every few hours, I ultimately slept for 10 hours of the flight. Once I woke up I watched the movie "Monsters Inc.," which once complete, the plane began descent, perfect timing! Even though I had slept most of the plane, I was more than ready to get off, which happened... about 45 minutes after we had landed. Nevertheless, the trip was not nearly as bad as I had anticipated, just left me with crazy amounts of jet lag and very much so sleep deprived.

Thank you for reading!! I hope you have a beautiful day!!! xo
